NFLD LOCAL GROUP

Our September meeting is deferred until October. At the October meeting we will make plans for the months that follow.

This month, September 15 and 16, 2006, 426 attendees had the privilege of Joyce Rupp facilitating a conference entitled, "Dusting off Our Prayer". The CNWE members were in attendance and, like the other attendees, found Joyce who is an international retreat director, writer, and poet truly inspiring. She left the group with new insights and a new lens with which to pray.

Joyce explored personal and public prayer through four Prayer facets: i)Prayer as Relationship, ii) Prayer as Experience, iii) Prayer as Compassion, and iv) Prayer as Service.

The Presentation, and the Mercy Sisters in their outreach ministry are to be commended for the spiritual education they are provided in Newfoundland and Labrador.
